Accepting Yourself Without Perfection

Self-acceptance does not mean ignoring your flaws, it means offering yourself kindness without waiting to become flawless first.

Many of us postpone contentment until we reach a goal or fix everything we see as lacking. But that postponement creates a moving target that never quite arrives.

Real acceptance sounds like this: these are my strengths, these are areas I want to grow in, and both are part of who I am. You do not need every weak point to disappear before you allow yourself rest.

Start with one simple step: today, try looking at yourself with a little more gentleness, before rushing to list everything you still need to fix.
