No one chooses hardship, but the way we handle it can make a real difference in who we become.
Growth does not mean hardship is a good thing, it means it is possible to draw meaning from it, even when we never chose it. The question is not why did this happen to me, it is what did I learn from this.
This does not mean romanticizing the pain or denying it, it means allowing the difficulty to become part of our story, not its ending.
