Boundaries are not walls we build to push people away, they are the lines that make clear what we can and cannot accept in a relationship.
Healthy relationships do not mean an absence of boundaries, they mean boundaries set with mutual respect. Saying no is not selfish, it is a tool for protecting your energy, your time, and your emotional wellbeing.
Many of us confuse kindness with never saying no. But setting a boundary calmly and clearly, such as saying I need some time to myself after work, is both a mature and a respectful act at the same time.
This week, try setting one small boundary, and notice how it makes you feel toward yourself and toward the other person.
